Heating Up For Spring

At long last here’s the Freeheat album that almost never was. Exploding on to a hi-fi near you is the first full-length album from the band who count The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Gun Club and Earl Brutus amongst their pedigree. Featuring sessions recorded at the Mary Chain’s infamous Drugstore, along with classic live tracks from the Paradiso, Amsterdam. "Back On The Water" (PSRCD-045) is guaranteed to thrill you to your rock’n’roll core. The live moments are breathtaking and beautifully raw whilst Freeheat’s studio exploration visits brisk distorted multi-layered melodic blasts of sound. It’s a stripped down affair but make no mistake, it reaffirms Jim Reid & Company’s knack for writing the timeless perfect pop song - think Andy Warhol and absinth or a new pop-art for the new century. The 17 track LP is Due out Spring 2006. Check back for pre-ordering details! For more information on Freeheat, please visit www.freeheat.com

Linda Draper Still Tops in 2005...2006 NEXT?

It's March but the list of best music of 2005 keep popping up. Linda's fabulous LP "One Two Three Four" was released to critical acclaim. Dutch/English magazine Real Roots Cafe has "One Two Three Four" in their Amazing Ten 2005 along with other Americana/Folk releases from Susan Tedeschi's "Hope and Desire," Red Bird "S/T" etc. The UK's Vanity Project also had Linda's fourth LP in their Albums of 2005, along with great LP's from The Fall "Fall Heads Roll" and The A-Lines self-titled release. "One Two Three Four" has also appeared on 2005 best of lists from: Unfinished magazine, Denmark's Soundvenue Magazine, and Copacetic Zine's "Things 2005" (a sort of Best of 2005). The LP is out in Europe/Japan and will almost guarantee Top honors for 2006.

In other Linda Draper news: Linda has been keeping busy with the recording of her fifth LP due out in early 2007. No worries, she will be releasing fine music in 2006: Her excellent reading of "How Long" will be featured on the Planting Seeds' tribute to Rick Nelson "Easy To Be Free: The Songs of Rick Nelson" (PSRCD-046), due out Spring 2006. To top out the year, she will also release her "Shine" EP (PSRCD-047)...more details soon!
