Hearing Voyces?

The Voyces are just about set to release their long awaited seconnd proper LP "Kissing Like It's Love" - in celebration, the band will have two great events going. On Saturday April 28th the band will be playing the famed Bowery Ballroom and will be selling copies of the LP. On Wednesday May 9th, the band will hold a very cool "Kissing Like It's Love" Listening Party at the venue "Hi-Fi" (which incidentally also held recent listening parties for Bright Eyes among many others) - you can head over to - 169 Avenue A. NYC 9 PM-Midnight with $3 beers - what a deal right? - the official release date for the album is May 8th - excited? We are too! Linda Draper Talks Keepsake

Linda Draper appears in the latest update of music blog indiefolkforever's "Uncommon Folk" feature - she discusses the lyrics for "Keepsake", Cake's "Pressure Chief" LP, Leonard Cohen and more. The Return Of Sunday Smoke Kit

PSR's first band Sunday Smoke Kit return with a semi-retrospective collection "Wasting Time: Ninety Seven/Two Thousand Seven." It'll be the first digital only release containing some of the band's mid-fi home recordings, compilation appearances and a new track, "Fiery Promise" (think Gene Clark with The Band). The set also includes the fan faves "Los Alamos", "Passing Shooting Stars", "Planting Seeds" (from which our little label was named) and more. The album is due out by summer 2007. Singer/Songwriter Scott Meiggs' is also currently recording demos for a new Smoke Kit LP which will feature some cool special guests. Scott took some time to answer a Q&A with our friends at www.rocksellout. Congrats to Jim & Julie Reid on the birth of their second daughter! Candice Reid was born on March 24th. As you all know, Jim will be playing with the Jesus And Mary Chain at Coachella later this month along with various festival dates throughout the summer. Sister Vanilla: Exclusive Interview At Parasites & Sycophants

PSR's new blog Parasites & Sycophants has launched it's Interview feature with a cool chat with Sister Vanilla herself, Linda Reid. The band on record includes Linda Reid on vocals along with her brothers Jim and William Reid from The Jesus And Mary Chain as well as JAMC/Freeheat alum Ben Lurie. Linda talks about the making of the LP, her favorite band Blur, The JAMC reunion, her musical education and lots more. "Little Pop Rock" is out now via the UK's Chemikal Underground label.
