Linda Draper Back From The West; Live On Soundcheck WNYC

Linda Draper wrapped up her 2007 "Keepsake" tour with a live date at NYC's The Cake Shop in support of Eric Gaffney of Sebadoh - Before the evenings performance, she stopped by WNYC's "Soundcheck" to discuss music therapy, the state of the compact disc, and more. She also performed two tracks: "Traces Of" and one of her newer songs, "Among The Sharks And The Royalty" - listen to archived interview/performance here.

Linda also completed her first ever west coast shows with bassist Rob Woodcock on board - playing to enthusiastic/packed crowds from San Francisco, Portland, Olympia, San Diego, Los Angeles, and more. The Jesus And Mary Chain in the UK

The Jesus And Mary Chain continue their comeback with live dates in the UK, recently playing Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown Festival. NME, The Guardian and other UK press have reported the band are indeed back - playing a slew of their signature noise pop - showing 21st century crowds what they've been missing for almost a decade. The band will be recording their first new LP since 1998's Subpop/Creation Records release "Munki" . JAMC revealed two newer compositions live - "All Things Must Pass" and "Dead End Kids" (All you Freeheat/Jim Reid fans have already heard the tune - but add William and it's pure bliss -- nice sounds!) The Voyces in NYC - Linda Draper Back In NYC

NYC's best are back in action for late June and into August. The Voyces are set to play their fave venue The Rockwood Music Hall on July 7th followed by two dates in upstate NY. Meanwhile folk chanteuse Linda Draper continues live dates for her "Keepsake" tour. She recently returned from her ultra successful West Coast swing which covered dates in Portland, Olympia, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and everywhere in between(Look for tour wrap up in the coming days). She'll be back in NYC this Friday June 22nd with an interview/performance on WNYC 93.9FM on the stations "Soundcheck" program, 2PM EST - followed by a return engagement at the Cake Shop at 8PM. The Tamborines New Live Video & Live Radio Acoustic Versions

The Tamborines have posted a new live Video via youtube.com - some ace stuff filmed during their recent tour of Brazil. Check out clips of their cover of the Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows", "On Your Own", "Looking Glass Work Shop " and more. You can also download acoustic radio versions on the band's myspace.com/thetamborines site. The band continues to record new music for their upcoming release. They are also scheduled to play the very popular Truck Festival in the UK. More news soon.

Linda Draper Launches Keepsake Tour

Linda Draper kicked off her "Keepsake Tour" with two east coast dates. On Saturday May 26th she entertained a packed house at The Cake Shop in NYC for her "Keepsake" CD release Party. Check out a review of the show here. The set featured a few tracks from past albums with several songs from the new LP - her encore included the country/folk tune "Last One Standing". On May 27th she made a stop in Cambridge, MA and played to another full house at the historic 60's folk/jazz club - Club Passim (formerly known as Club 47 - where folk legends old and new have performed - Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Suzanne Vega, Judy Collins, Nancy Griffith etc) as part of the "Cutting Edge Of The Campfire Music Festival". Linda shared the stage with Lucy Wainwright Roche (sister of Rufus & Martha Wainwright) and Elizabeth Butters - She played five songs and sang harmony with the other artists, including Wainwright's beautiful reading of the traditional Scottish folk song "Wild Mountain Thyme".

Linda Draper is set for her first ever trek out west. The Palo Alto Daily News has a nice feature on Linda - She talks about the new LP, songwriting, and more - check out the article here . Linda Draper will be playing The Make Out Room in San Francisco on June 5th with The Orange Peels . The Voyces In Thousand Oaks, XM Radio, Buy Posters!

The Voyces recently returned from a week long stay out west. While there, they of course played a sold out private show in Thousand Oaks, CA (Brian's hometown) at Record Outlet. The duo of Jude Kastle and Brian Wurschum ran through an ace set which included "Angels Of Fun", "Kissing Like It's Love", "Humming", "Top Of My Lungs", and "Relate To Me".
