Michael Barret News
It's
been a little while since we've heard from former Essex Green/Sixth Great
Lake/Ladybug Transistor member Michael
Barrett, but he's been recording some great new music. His wonderful
tribute to Rock legend and Country Rock Pioneer Rick Nelson, "Nightime Lady"
appears on Planting Seeds' latest collection titled "Easy
To Be Free: The Songs of Rick Nelson" (PSRCD-046) [buy].
Michael recently relocated back to the New England area. The track was recorded
in Nashville, TN along with a few other great tracks which are now exclusive
to the PSR media page. Listen and downnload now. We hope to hear more new

Rick Nelson Tribute Feature Article
Northern
California newspaper, The Palo Alto Daily News recently ran a great feature
on Planting Seeds' latest LP "Easy To Be Free: The Songs of Rick Nelson."
The feature included great interviews with Music Supervisor Ian Cooke, contributors
Marshall Crenshaw, Jeffrey Foskett, Jeff Larson, Denny Sarokin, John Beland
and David Beckey of the Autumn Leaves.

Sidewalk Cafe in New York City recently hosted The Planting Seeds Records/Cancer
Care benefit and Rick Nelson Tribute CD Party on Saturday June 17, 2006.
The evening included stellar performances from three of the tribute's contributors:
Jeff Mellin ("Garden Party"), Linda Draper ("How Long"),
and headliners the Voyces ("Poor Little Fool").
