Regular visitors at Linda Draper's myspace page, may have wondered where it went the last few days. Apparently some hacking was involved which most likely led to the account being temporarily deleted. As of this writing, the page is back. However, no official word from "Tom" and the folks over at myspace.com as to what the issue was. Hopefully the situation has been completely resolved. Freeheat Interview In Latest Dagger Issue

The Jesus & Mary Chain are in the midst of their reunion activities - meanwhile, JAMC alum and Freeheat guitarist Ben Lurie continues on with interviews in promotion of PSR's 17 track release "Back On The Water". The latest interview comes in the form of Dagger's Spring/Summer Issue (#40) - Ben covers all phases of his musical career as well as what the future holds for him. Linda Draper Shines On The Beeb!

Linda Draper's LP "Keepsake" continues it's spectacular rise with more added airplay - this time out by the BBC. "Shine" recently aired on The BBC's Radio 2 via DJ Steve Lamacq's Show - who has essentially picked up where legendary DJ John Peel left off - Introducing new indie music to the masses. Along with Draper's "Shine" Lamacq spun tracks from Arcade Fire, Hold Steady, Interpol, Tokyo Police Club, Elvis Perkins and others. Linda's great LP "Keepsake" is also reviewed in the latest issues of NYC's Urban Folk and California based Dream Magazine. The Tambo's "Sally"O Gannon" and The Truck Festival

The Tamborines are set to release their debut US EP "Sally O'Gannon" (PSRCD-042) in September - they've already received loads of press via NME among other UK publications, toured with the Brians Jonestown Massacre, and played with Mark Gardener (Ride). They will release the EP while continuing work on their full length LP, not yet titled. The band was also scheduled to play this years Truck Festival (this weekend), but heavy rain and floods prevented the event from happening. The festival is rescheduled for September 22-23. The Tamborines play tonight (June 22) at Oxford Brookes University Student Union, in Headington. which features alot of the original bands scheduled for Truck. The Voyces In Saratoga Springs

The Voyces recently played their first show outside of NYC on 7/13/07 - once again the band was treated to a packed house at Saratoga Spring's Kings Tavern. Read the featured article that ran in the areas Daily Gazette that day here Earlier in the day the band was invited for a meet and greet and to record a station ID at 97.7 WEXT FM, which now regularly rotating their music. Find out more about the station here The Voyces are also gearing up possible shows on the West Coast. The band is also completing work on the digital only single "Kissing Like It's Love" which will also feature three b-sides.

The Tamborines And "Sally O'Gannon"

The long wait for The Tamborines debut US release is almost over. Planting Seeds' and the band have announced the limited edition "Sally O' Gannon" EP (PSRCD-042)
will be released later this summer. The release will contain four songs:


1. Sally O'Gannon 2. Be Around
3. Come Together 4. "Sally O'Gannon"(Demo Version).


For those of you who may not know, The Tamborines are a Brazillian born London based fuzz rock band in the vein of The Velvet Underground, The Dandy Warhols, and The Jesus And Mary Chain. The EP was recorded in Oxford, England with Mark Gardener (Of Ride) and Frank Teardrop (of The Brian Jonestown Massacre). The band is scheduled to appear at Oxford's Truck Festival as well as Spain's Natural Festival - which also features performances by Keane, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Primal Scream, The Charlatans, Razorlight and more -The Tamborines will play on August 4th. Smoke'in Weekend

Jeffrey Scott Meiggs, along with Neil DelParto and William Hickey got together on June 30th and July 1st in North Carolina for a run thru of some of Meiggs' latest songs. The tracks are for an upcoming Sunday Smoke Kit release, which will be the first since 2004's "I Love The Rain" EP. Jeffrey has also confirmed the latest line-up will also feature a keyboard/harmonica player and second guitarist. Keep checking back for the latest updates. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Scott Meiggs continues to grab attention over at Parasites & Sycophants. It's updated daily.

More Planting Seeds News

Pinkie AKA Alex Sharkey has a new blog post via myspace.com/pinkiemusic. Alex Also reports work continues on the long awaited follow up to the critical smash "Sharon Fussy" - the new LP has the working title of "Lush" - which will be due out in 2008.

The Tamborines are set to play the 10th edition of The Truck Festival in Oxford, England - which will take place on July 21st and 22nd. A very cool line-up is in place which features performances from: Idlewild, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Goldrush, and Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze). Tickets are sold out but be sure to check out youtube for some footage, which is sure to surface.


Planting Seeds' alum Adam Boc (from Boston's Jumprope)has unearthed footage of his pre-Jumprope band Miranda Warning (also featuring Jumpropes drummer Tom), which displayed a more pop/rock sound to the bossa nova of Boc's later band.
