In More Linda Draper News
As you would expect, Linda's latest LP "keepsake" continues to receive more
great reviews from critics from around the world.
Check out the two latest:
"soft folk songs with a quiet glow...lovely voice...mysterious..."
- ERASING CLOUDS (FALL 2007)
"simple, direct and beautiful...poetic simplicity...Linda Draper can
evidently be addicting."
- Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange (Fall 2007)
Linda Draper And Feist?
According to amazon.com sales charts, Linda's previous classic LP 2005's
"One Two Three Four" has catapulted into the TOP 50 (at press) in the indie/folk/pop
charts. Our guess would have to be with the popularity of Canadian artist
Feist growing each day - Feist has her "1234" song on heavy rotation - and
it doesnt hurt being featured on i-pod commercials. Music fans must be doing
searches at amazon.com in turn finding another gem with a similar title...During the same week popular blog "Large Hearted Boy" (http://blog.largeheartedboy.com)
featured Linda in their Daily Downloads section...well...folks, keep on discovering and thanks for the support!

"NICE SOUNDS: SEPTEMBER 2007"
As we head into the fall months, the praise continues to roll in on a few
of our latest and greatest timeless records...need we say more? Read on:
Linda Draper "Keepsake"
"classic late night music...quiet and confessional...The perfect record
for those moments of soul searching and introspection." - (Fall 2007-
Soma Soma Scene, UK)
The
Voyces "Kissing Like It's Love"
"With an infuriately catchy tune that you'll find yourself humming tomorrow,
the day after, next week..." - (Summer, 2007 Three From Leith (UK)
The Tamborines
-"quite fun and elegant...an intense wall of sound that permeates throughout...an
absolute gem...dirty rock baptized in a haze of dissonance..." -(September
2007, Access Interzone)
In More Nice Sounds...
Jim Reid continues on with the reunited JAMC who have just finished a string
of dates in Europe, most recently a fantastic show at the Brixton Academy
on September 7th - the band played a string of their most notable hits,
but launched into their encore with a duo of tracks they haven't played
in quite sometime - "Darklands" from the LP of the same name and the classic
"Nine Million Rainy Days" - a rumored performance of "Sometimes Always"
was planned according to NME but a suitable guest vocalist could not be
found...perhaps this may surface during their California show? JAMC on the
West Coast in mid/late October...
Words of wisdom from Hermano Del Noche Gonzalez III
It's time again to hear more wonderful words from our resident hero...
"Small opportunities are often the beginnings of great enterprises"
thats all for now...
Best,
Neil DelParto/Planting Seeds Records
