A Special note from MATTHEW J TOW:
hi everyone, the production team of myself, Collin Hegna (Brian Jonestown
Massacre, Federale) and Ryan Carlson van Kriedt (Asteroid no 4, Dead Skeletons)
have been working diligently over the past couple of months on my debut
solo album and we are nearing completion..only a couple more songs to go!
The album, yet to be titled, was recorded between Portland U.S and Katoomba Australia, and should ...be released at some stage early to mid next year. We are all extremely proud of the record and can't wait for everyone to hear it! Following that, there will be a tour of the U.S with the live band consisting of Collin, Ryan and Plucky on drums (The Warlocks, Hawkeye) to support the release of the record..More news on that as it comes to hand.
In other news, there will be a solo record by Matthew Sigley (The Daytime Frequency) and there should be a Lovetones compilation album released early next year, containing a live DVD of the Lovetones recorded live at The Metro in Sydney in 2008. The Lovetones "Lost" For Best Cover at 2011 Australian ARIA Awards?
The Lovetones are pleased to announce that their album 'Lost
' is on shortlist of nominations for Best Cover Art at this year's Australian
ARIA Awards. In case you were unaware, the artwork features an amazing print
by UK artist James Marsh. He has worked with everyone from The Beatles to
Andy Warhol and most notably Talk Talk. Congrats to The Lovetones &
James Marsh!!
In more Lovetones news: the Talk Talk project, a double album and book is
set to be released early next year. The lovetones have recorded a version
of 'The Party's Over'. Other acts include: Turin Brakes, Electric Soft Parade,
Grandaddy, Alan Wider (Recoil) Death Cab For Cutie. It's gonna be good,
plus a book with original artwork from James Marsh.
The band is also putting together a Lovetones "Best Of" that is
confirmed via Matthew J Tow for release so far in Australia via Undercover
Music. In even more news, Matthew J Tow continues to record his solo LP.
Bassist Matt Sigley continues to work on his solo release along with touring
with BELLS WILL RING.

May 2011 Brings A Few Not To Be Missed Shows
It's May 2011 and summer is right around the corner. A few PSR artists are gearing up for NOT-TO-BE-MISSED SHOWS this month. Below are some to check out if you're in the area.
THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS are back with another not to be missed performance
in Roanoke, VA. They will be appearing TONIGHT (MAY 6, 2011) - performance
is 6-8PM at Taubman Museum of Art as part of "Art By Night" -
After that two fifths of the band will head out as part of fellow Magic
Twig band ETERNAL SUMMERS on a US Tour which runs thru to mid June.
THE LOVETONES' MATTHEW J TOW recently played a solo show in Sydney,
Australia in support of SUPER FURRY ANIMALS GRUFF RHYS (05.03.11) at The
Excelsior Hotel. Tow returns to the solo live stage for a show in PARIS,
FRANCE. It'll be The first ever appearence by MATTHEW J TOW of THE LOVETONES
in Paris, playing a special rare acoustic performance featuring special

Los Angeles' Old Toy Trains Joins The PSR Family
Los Angeles, CA quintet OLD TOY TRAINS joins the Planting Seeds Collective, with the digital release of their introspective/daydreamy debut: the"Electric Railway" EP. The band originally released the EP on limited edition CD in 2010 via ace indie label MIND EXPANSION. The digital EP will see it's release on May 24th and will contain "Crow's Landing" as a bonus track.
Old Toy Trains (named after the Roger Miller Christmas song)
was started as a studio project circa 2006 by guitarist/singer/songwriter
Bo Chung and a school of like-minded travelers. The latest line-up
features: Bo Chung (guitars, sp202, theremin, vox), Ai Kusuhara
(drums, synths, percussion, vox), Suki Ewers (synths, percussion,
vox), David Greening (Guitar, lap steel) and Tony Lamantia
(Bass). Along with the release of the "Electric Railway EP"
- they have already begun recording material for a follow up release.
You may have recognized Old Toy Trains, since they have shared the live
stage with fellow PSR artist LINDA DRAPER on her last two West Coast
tours. Along with a surplus of shows in Southern California the band also
made a visit to New York for a few performances in 2008. More shows are

The Young Sinclairs (+ Magic Twig Community) Sell Out!
On March 25th Roanoke's YOUNG SINCLAIRS returned to the live stage
with a bang (their first show since Nov. 2010)- which also featured two
other ace MAGIC TWIG COMMUNITY artists: THE SAD COBRAS and
ETERNAL SUMMERS. The evening was played in front of a sold out crowd
at downtown Roanoke's KIRK AVE. MUSIC HALL. The YOUNG SINCLAIRS blazed through
an alomost 80 minute set which not only included the entire "We
Spoke Our Minds" EP but tracks ranging from from their debut LP
"Feel Bad", "Indian Winter", "Chimeys"
as well as the new still unreleased track "You Know Where To Find
Me" among a slew of classic psych/jangly gems! The Sinclairs next
live performance is set for May 5th at Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke,
VA.
As reported previously, new/classic Young Sinclairs releases hit store/online shelves in April and May. On APRIL 5th, the CD reissue of the band's first LP "Feel Bad" (Magic Twig Community/Planting Seeds) is available for purchase at finer record stores worldwide. Also out this Spring (May 10, 2011) is a very cool 14 track ODDS & ENDS collection from the Sinclairs vaults, titled "Don't Believe In Demos Vol. 1" (PSR075). The album's lead single is The Byrdsian jangle meets Merle Haggard attitude tune "Running Kind" - look for it shortly.
Meanwhile, two members of the Sinclairs (Sam & Daniel) also play in fellow Magic Twig Community band/indie darlings ETERNAL SUMMERS. PLANTING SEEDS RECORDS - In Virginia Beach we say goodbye to THE JEWISH MOTHER - one of our favorite places to eat and a local/national live musical tradition in Hampton Roads since 1974. Thinking about the Jewish Mother immediately brought to mind a recent trip to Washington DC where we met up with Dean Warehem (GALAXIE 500/LUNA/DEAN&BRITTA) during a DEAN & BRITTA performance. Dean had asked us how the drive up was - we told him we drove up from Virginia Beach - where he instantly told us: "Yeah I remember Virginia Beach, we (LUNA) played the Jewish Mother many years ago...is it still there?" Well Dean, it's legendary location at 31 Street isn't. That particular building created some memories for us at PSR - As musicians, we played our very first show in 1992 in a band called SHRINKING VIOLETS (a precursor to Sunday Smoke Kit). Several years later we graced the JewMoms stage in an early line-up of ASTROPOP 3. We also got a chance to photograph and meet THE MONKEES' PETER TORK who was on a "Two Man Band" tour. Of course there are countless other good and bad performances that we got to witness there. In any event, the grand opening of it's new location (Hilltop section of VA Beach) is the weekend of April 14-16 where Country Rock legends NEW RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE play with OCTOPUS (a band that features our old friend DAVE MOORE & the guys that made up last line-up (circa 2008) of SUNDAY SMOKE KIT).

Linda Draper Lands In Southern Califorina + Continues Tour To Pacific Northwest
NYC's Linda Draper kicked off her 2011 West Coast Tour with a string
of great shows in Southern California. On March 16th she played to a great
audience at The Bootleg Theater in Silverlake, CA - in support of some awesome
artists: Old Toy Trains, led by guitarist Bo Chung and also
featuring Suki Ewers (ex Opal/Mazzy Star); Dominic Campanella
(of The Quarter After) and closing out the night were The Missfires
(featuring Andy Campanella of Chief Nowwhere). Linda played a set which
included mostly newer songs (from her most recent LP "Bridge &
Tunnel" + "Pushing Up The Day" EP)- two of which
are bound to be on her next studio LP: "The Coalminer's Shadow"
and "Baby Isn't Misery A Bore".
The following night Linda Draper's "No Frills" tour made a stop
in San Diego, CA at the fine indie venue, The Tin Can. Linda entertained
the St. Patricks Day crowd to another fine set which also added the classics
"Needlessly" and "Traces Of". Linda closed
out the Southern California portion of her mini tour in Los Angeles, CA
at the intimate and near acoustic perfect Hotel Cafe. Linda continues her
"No Frills" shows with dates in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.

THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS GEAR UP FOR NEW DATES + NEW MUSIC VIDEO
Two members of The Young Sinclairs - Samuel Lunsford +
Daniel Cundiff - have returned from SXSW playing in fellow Magic Twig
Community band Eternal Summers - seven shows in four days along with
a few dates in Atlanta & Houston. Its a grueling schedule, but fear
not - Sam and Daniel return to Roanoke to play March 25th with not only
Eternal Summers but with THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS. This will be the band's first
live date since the end of last year. You can perhaps expect new songs +
more. The band has currently re-issued their debut LP "Feel Bad"
digitally, with the CD to hit worldwide distribution via DARLA. A new promo
video "Left & Right" has been issued, which you can
view here. The
band is also entertaining the idea of setting dates for the West Coast.

MARK CROZER - Has confirmed he is working on a video for "A
Night Like This" - one of the three tracks featured on his latest
EP "There Is No Love". The video will be directed by Dave
Motion who has also worked with Mark on the International Jetsetters video
"Inside Out" in 2009. Mark has also stated the last International
Jetsetters show on 3/19/11 was a great success and the band will be doing
another show in the future. In more IJ's news, the "California"
EP has once again been delayed due to technical issues - keep checking back
for more information on it's long awaited release. Meanwhile Mark will be
heading to the USA to continue work on his solo LP due out fall, 2011. In
even more Mark Crozer news, a new version of 'Next Christmas' featuring
the wonderful drumming of Loz Colbert (RIDE/IJ'S/JAMC). The duo tracked
drums and bass and will be back in the studio to do the rest next shortly.
Mark is quoted as saying "It's sounding pretty great already."
Release details to follow nearer the time. It's all very exciting!
MATTHEW J TOW (of THE LOVETONES) confirms he will be opening for

The Young Sinclairs Set To Release New LP
Roanoke, VA's THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS are indeed living up to what critics have called "One of the most prolific band's around today". THE LOVETONES- The Lovetones have announced they have been asked
to contribute a track to a new 'Talk Talk' tribute album to be released
later this year. Other artists involved are Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode),
Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie), Turin Brakes, and Stars Of The Lid amongst
many others. The band plan to record their version of "The Party's
Over" - more details as we get it. In more Lovetones news, PSR has
made available an ULTRA LIMITED amount of the USA mini sleeve CD version

Kit leader as reported last year is featured in the hit indie documentary

Mark Crozer New EP Out & Jetsetters Schedule Final Show!
MARK CROZER's new EP "There Is No Love" (PSR071)
is released today (02.14.11) and is already getting rave reviews in hot
spots like CMJ which calls the lead track "electric guitar
reminiscent of the Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows... a catchy,
colorful melody." You can download the EP via your favorite digital
download outlets worldwide. Meanwhile Mark confirms some possible US dates
this Spring/Summer in support of the single and the as yet titled new album
due out later this year - his first solo album in eight years.
In more Crozer related news, the long delayed INTERNATIONAL JETSETTERS
"California" (PSR065) EP is set for release on March 15th.
As previously reported, the EP will be available as an exclusive digital
download (as of press time, there will be no CD version released). In celebration
the band will play it's last show before an extended hiatus (various members
are currently working on a slew of recordings: Crozer on solo recordings,
Fi and Bert with Welcome To Peepworld; and Loz on a variety of projects).
Look for "California," the title track to hit airwaves in the

THE LOVETONES- THE LOVETONES are set to play their final show - at
least for an extended period says Matthew J Tow. They will be playing an
all ages show at the Sydney City Council nighttime markets, The Rocks Square
on 25th Feb. It'll be the band's first ever all ages show and they will
fact be performing 2 sets.
The second single "Hurricane" from the band's latest LP
"Lost" is currently set to make its rounds via the blogosphere,
music sites, indie/college radio, etc - you can have an advance listen at
the previously unreleased single version

THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS - Have been busy with several solo/side projects
etc. Singer/leader Samuel Lunsford is working on his Rap record under the
name JONESKI; Daniel Cundiff continues recording and touring with critically
acclaimed ETERNAL SUMMERS. It's also confirmed drummer John Thompson along
with producing various bands - he will join ETERNAL SUMMERS on bass for
their upcoming tour. Seanmichael Poff & keyboardist Jonathan Woods have
been playing with various bands/projects within the Magic Twig Community.
With all these projects happening, The Sinclairs do have an upcoming live
show in support of their soon to be released "Odds & Ends"
collection titled "Don't Believe In Demos Vol. 1" (PSR075 - previously
titled "The Young Sinclairs Present") - look for it as an exclusive
digital download LP....next update with cover art and track listing. Right
now you can check out the band's latest single "TIME IS NOT TODAY"
taken from the re-issue of their debut LP "Feel Bad" (PSRCD070)
- the digital version is OUT NOW while the CD gets worldwide distribution
via DARLA RECORDS - its due out April 5, 2011.

Mark Crozer Re-issues + New EP "There Is No Love"!!
MARK CROZER's 2002 album "Unnatural World" featuring the tracks

Tragic Man" + 8 other gems! is reissued via PSR, out exclusively on
digital download on January 18, 2011. Also seeing released on the same dae
is Crozer's 1999 debut LP "Shining Down On Me" which includes

is out on Valentines Day - which also features the tracks "To Get To

THE LOVETONES- THE LOVETONES are set to play their final show - at

THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS - appear on Seattle, WA's THE FINEST KISS music blog's TOP albums of 2010 with the excellent "Chimeys" released via Chimney Sweep Records ---> Sinclairs bassist Daniel Cundiff appears again with his band ETERNAL SUMMERS and their recent LP "Silver"....In more end of the year lists..."Memory System" - from the "We Spoke Our Minds" EP makes it onto THE VINYL DISTRICT UK TOP tracks of 2010 ----> funny enough the track is on the digital download version only. THE TAMBORINES - are set to play with PSR faves CRYSTAL STILTS +

Thanks 2010 - Hello Happy New Year 2011!!
Well now....It looks like PSR has stuck around another year older....with
hopes of more to come in 2011!! If you missed any part of our adventures
in 2010, well - you can read below for what went on in our little world.
But we gotta definately give thanks to the many talented friends, family, artists, music press who continue to discover + believe in our little indie record label - it truly means a lot!
As far as some of our little adventures in 2010.......as a mini quick recap,
we started things off with a great little digital release from the talented
LINDA DRAPER and her third single "Pushing Up The Day" from the
critically acclaimed LP "Bridge And Tunnel" - We later joined
Linda on the road for some of her live dates in support of her new releases
including the 10 track collection "No Frills" -which covered dates
in NYC, Boston,MA Philadelphia, Maine - Alot of goodtimes with old and new
friends!! Always a pleasure! She made a long overdue appearance at CMJ 2010
as well as a return appearance at Cambridge, MA's CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL at the
legendary CLUB PASIM.
Fellow Virginians THE YOUNG SINCLAIRS also joined the PSR family with their
fabulous new release "We Spoke Our Minds" - we were also able
to catch the band on several of their JUNE dates with the BRIAN JONESTOWN
MASSACRE as well as FALL performances in Charlottesville/Richmond, VA. Great
live shows, great conversations, and great seeing everyone again!. The Sinclairs
finished the year with a Digital re-issue of their debut LP "Feel Bad"
via PSR....more great things coming in the new year!
Our pals from Australia THE LOVETONES made a return visit to the US in support of their GREAT new ALBUM "Lost" - a tour which covered the east coast as well as the west coast....including stops at CMJ and the EAST VILLAGE RADIO show BEYOND BEYOND IS BEYOND. PSR was able to swing out to shows in Washington, DC @ The Black Cat and in Chapel Hill, NC at the Nightlight - witnessing the usual awesome live shows from the band! If you havent already picked up the new LP - you're MISSING OUT - features great guest performances from MIRANDA LEE RICHARDS, members of BJM, ASTEROID #4, and CHIEF NOWHERE....they also ended the year with a cool appearance at the PEATS RIDGE FESTIVAL in NSW, AUSTRALIA on 12.30.10
We closed out 2010 with a return to producing a Holiday release...which
we simply called "MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM PLANTING SEEDS RECORDS"
- which also featured a cool little cover from our pal ROB DOBBS...featuring
ace old + new tracks from THE LOVETONES, LINDA DRAPER, MARK CROZER, THE
YOUNG SINCLAIRS, PINKIE, PAULA KELLEY and THE BEDROOM SET w/ANGELIQUE EVERETT.

The Young Sinclairs Back With New Digital Releases
The Young Sinclairs are back with a duo of new albums from PSR following
the recent release of their 7" vinyl EP "We Spoke Our Minds"
(PSREC065)! Due out December 7th is the re-issue of the band's debut LP
"Feel Bad" (PSR070) - which will be available at your favorite
digital download outlets ------> iTunes, emusic, etc. "Feel Bad"
was originally released on compact disc in 2007 via the band's MAGIC TWIG
imprint. A limited number of the band's original CD release is also for
